The only way at present (that we use for development and testing) is to use a USB parallel lead on a PC and echo the raw file to the USB port
We do this with a simple script running in a QL emulator

Re: Is there a landscape US Letter page size option?
Lots of landscape european page sizes listed in the documentation, not sure if there's an L-ANSI-4? *edit* Well, I tried it, and it kind of worked but the PNG became garbled about halfway through and no PDF was created. It did recognize L-ANSI-4 as a page_size /root/config/page_size parameter = l-a...

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
OK - that is interesting - the raw file starts $0D, $0A (Carriage Return, Line Feed) $FF (no idea what this is supposed to do!) Then 80 spaces $0D, $0A (Carriage Return, Line Feed) Packet driver for a 3c509, version 11.6 (I assume this is the start of the screen dump) I need to check the Epson progr...

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
I guess the print screen function might depend on what it is sending - is it displayed correctly when it dies get appended?
Maybe attach the raw file or email it to me to check the raw file for print screen. If not in the home pi folder try the /tmp folder

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
The ./retroprinter-restart.sh will report a mixed bag of messages - part of the code looks to see if you have you a USB-RTC module attached.
Not sure why the timeout does not seem to work - it is working here (and there are no changes). Odd.

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
I have emailed you some files for testing - this appears to fix both of your issues for me.

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
/root/output_PNG should be set to File (memory stores the image in the memory only).

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
Just a question - what settings did you have for output_PNG and create_PDF ?
Are there any errors shown in the logs in /home/pi/data

Re: Two issues(?), with default_margins and output_PNG
Hmm that is interesting - I have not used output_PNG for a long time.
Yes, there is a bug in default margins of 7,4,0,0 so that would explain - I will correct this
