Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
I have had a look at the code and checked the figures. For the 1 x 1 dump, each line of graphics is sent as 480 bytes, and we plot a pixel which is 12 dots wide (60 pixels per inch). For the 2 x 1 dump, each line of graphics is sent as 960 bytes, and we plot a pixel which is 6 dots wide (120 pixels ...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
It is of course possible that this is the intention if the original 1x1 dump outputs all of the information the double density dump has more graphic information to send to the printer!!

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
It is a complete guess as to whether the 9 pin or 24 pin will correct this, but it does affect the supported graphics routines, so possibly.

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
Hmm that is an interesting interaction with the double density mode - it is possible that it is difference in the ESC/P (9 pin) and ESC/P2 (24 pin) calculations, although I thought it only affected line spacing not line width. Could you add some photos to the post to show what you mean and maybe ema...

Genicom Tally T2340 printer
Hot on the heels of the Mannesmann Tally MT600 Line Printer, we have been asked to look at emulating a Genicom Tally T2340 printer, which supports Epson, HP and MTLP printer control codes. Unfortunately, the MTLP printer control codes are not based on the MT600 control set, so we will need to develo...

Data Capture Improvements
Whilst the data capture has been working well so far, we have hit a few edge case scenarios where one or two characters on a graph could be apparently corrupt. We have not been able to replicate this in the past. However, a client had an issue when printing from an old DOS based program to a HP 5si ...

Re: Psion 5mx
After a bit of experimentation, using a Psion Revo and a Psion 3mx, we managed to get the Retro-Printer working with this.
The trick is to use handshaking set to 2 and using a v4 Module - presumably the Psion expects power on one of the three optional pins added by the v4 Module.

Psion 5mx
Has anyone experience of the Retro-Printer with the Psion series?
So far we have not been able to even capture anything from Psion on a v3 module - it might be that it needs the power removing from one of the pins (which we allowed for on the v4), but I am currently at a complete loss.

Re: Mannesmann Tally MT660 Line Printer
We are finally making some progress here. The main issue was that the centronics cable was losing a lot of signal strength - most signals were less than 2V. The customer has reduced the cable length and resoldered it and we now have proper data to deal with. We are currently writing the printer emul...

Re: Need help on setup
Hi there, I didn't get to work to much on it today, had to get the heater fix (which is in the attic). A high power cable inside the unit overheated and melted the insulation, which you could smell in the middle of the night. Also the circuit breaker was to big for the unit. This could have started...
