Re: Need help on setup

Ken, The easiest thing would be for you to use anydesk or similar to let me access your pc remotely - I don't have any setups similar to you - but it is very odd that you cannot use bitvise. The device name in the screenshot is wrong Retro-Printer OR the IP address for the device. CUPS allows you to...

Re: 21 CFS Part 11 Compliance

We have now completed the first version of the software to run on this device, and are capturing it in a Windows program. The Retro-Printer-C stores no data and performs no data processing at all - it simple deals with the transmission and acknowledgement of the data coming from a centronics / paral...

Re: Does Pin 18 provide +5v

Yes, we do supply +5v on Pin 18 (on the v4 Retro-Printer only) - you may need to ensure that the jumper is in place as per section 1.7 of the manual. Likewise, +5v is supplied on pins 13 and 32 by default (but can also be disabled by virtue of these jumpers).

Re: Need help on setup

Yes you often need to change the url to https when you first enter CUPS for some reason. It looks as though your default printer has set itself up automatically - if you go into administration (change the URL to https at the start), you will be asked for the root username and password. You can then ...

Re: Need help on setup

Weid that the name retro-printer is not being recognised, but you can just use the IP address in the host box of Bitvise (instead of retro-printer)

Re: Need help on setup

I haven't been able to go to this site (retro-printer:631), broswer can't find this address. Try to go to this site before writing this post. I did setup the Print +G DIP switches inside to Epson type settings. Set DIP 7 (ASCII Correction) and DIP 8 (Auto Line Feed) to on.Take care. You need the Re...

Mannesmann Tally MT660 Line Printer

We are trying to interpret the data sent from a Flight Simulator (by FlightSafety International) to an old Mannesmann Tally MT660 Line Printer

At the moment, we have not found much information and the raw data bears no resemblance to the output - does anyone have any manuals for this which may help?

Re: Need help on setup

Have a look at the quick start guides. A video would be a good idea if I knew how to make one! I find videos less helpful than a manual but maybe that is just me. You leave the c64 set up for Epson and the Retro-Printer configured to run with default Epson emulation. Cupa is installed and used to in...

First Glimpse...

It uses a DB25 connector instead of a centronics - but we are currently investigating why the last byte captured turns into a character 255 !!

21 CFS Part 11 Compliance

Following some feedback from our industrial customer base, we are currently looking at a new version of the Retro-Printer which will be compliant with the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 , established by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure the authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality of elect...
