Spectrum Interface 1 serial cable for RetroPrinter

Just wanted confirmation that a standard 9 pin D serial cable (both ends) is suitable to use to print from a ZX Spectrum Interface 1 to the RetroPrinter using a serial to usb connector attached to one end of the serial cable so the USB end can be plugged into the RetroPrinter? If correct can any one suggest a good place to buy the serial cable (I have the serial to USB connector already) Thanks.

As the ZX Interface 1 has a female 9 pin RS232 connector, why do you need an extra cable? The USB to RS232 adaptor should just plug straight in.

The ZX Interface 1 RS232 connector meets the serial standard, so it should be fine.
