We have come across an oddity with connecting to the Seiko QT-2100 Watch Timing Machine (‘Time Grapher’).
It is a weird machine which has a female centronics connector on the unit, instead of having a DB25 female connector (as is the norm). As the customer had a v3 Retro-Printer module, we had to make a custom male-male cable switcher anyway; only to find that the Raspberry Pi 3B kept cycling on power up.
First thought was to de-solder pin 32 (remembering that we have jumpers to allow you to do this on the v4 Retro-Printer, but this did not resolve the issue).
It turned out that you also have to de-solder pin 23 as well as pin 32.
Now to see what output is sent from the machine
