The only other thing I noticed on this release (I haven't checked in older releases) is that when I powered off the Electron, the RetroPrinter module seemed to pick up a few bytes of residual 'noise' from the Elk parallel port. This then got processed and printed (blank A4 page with 222 at the top)
Not sure if a one-off or a new feature?

That will be the '222' stop signal...
Actually I have no idea - electrical noise is always an issue - many of the older printers told you to turn them on and off before you turn on / off the computer

I guess I've just validated the need for the the on-off switch on top of the module then at least

This has now been addressed by the new character_threshold setting in the newly released v3.9 software
