They can run Raspberry Pi images out-of-the-box, but have a different GPIO pinout. They also have an automated tool that maps your GPIO pins to the new ones. Also one of the cheaper options on Amazon.

Thanks - yes, that would be an option - swapping the GPIO pin assignment is fairly easy ( as we have already had to do this for other single board computers, such as the Odroid and Banana Pi).
Luckily we have secured a good supply of Raspberry Pi 3B and Raspberry Pi 3B+ modules for now.
