TheC64 is a modern hardware based emulator of the original Commodore C64.

I have been asked by a few people now whether the Retro-Printer could be used to help print from TheC64.

The short answer is not at present.

So far as I have been able to determine, although the C64 comes equipped with several USB ports, the firmware does not support printing via the USB port - or even re-directing the original C64 serial port to the USB port.

If the firmware supported printing to the USB port (or more importantly, re-directing the serial port data to the USB port), then you would not need a Retro-Printer module. What would be required is something similar to our Interceptor (S) software based convertor running on a Banana Pi / Odroid C-1, Orange Pi or the latest Raspberry Pi 4, so that it could capture the data sent over the USB port by TheC64 and process it in the same way that the Retro-Printer module does.
