File maintenance on RetroPrinter
Hi I just want to be 100 % sure that, as well as deleting unwanted .pdf files to tidy things up, I can also delete all of the .raw and .ecs files I don't want to keep on the retro printer (SD card) I assume these are simply files outputted by the RetroPrinter rather than anything required to run the...

Re: Can't access Retroprinter on my network after router change
Hi You will be delighted to hear I have got everything working. :-) :-) Using raspi-config is very simple. Even though the console menu I see is different to the one on the Adafruit link, its obvious you need to select system settings, where the wi-fi SSID and passphrase questions are. (Is "pas...

Can't access Retroprinter on my network after router change
Hi. I just had my broadband upgraded to fibre and have new router. So I now need to update my Wi=Fi settings on the RetroPrinter with new SSID and password. At first I tried accessing the RetroPrinter via my PC browser using the IP address, but when this failed, it occurred to me that I can't commun...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
Great conclusion :-) :-) Advanced Art Studio's default printer control settings for an MX-80 are automatically set, if you just enter pass the installation questions without keying in anything. The only other things to do in the installation load is select the drawing interface you are going to use ...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
The very good thing is that, for whatever reason, the 1 x 1 single denisty dump with the 24 epson pin setting on the RetroPrinter seems to print out a perfect circle when you draw one on the Art Studio screen using the default settings, so the representation looks very accurate - to me it looks perf...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
I've gone back to 9 pins setting in the RetroPrinter and the print outs look very similar to the 24 Pin ones. Single Density dumps are still pretty much in the correct proportions. Dual Density dumps are still notably narrowed i.e. the width is shorter than it should be in proportion to height, so t...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
Given your thoughts on 9 or 24 Pin setting - I have been using the 24 Pin setting because my Windows 95 computer can exploit this and it did'nt seem to matter on my Spectrum. However I print on my Windows 95 machine rarely, whereas I'm printing on my Spectrum all the time, so could change the settin...

Re: Correct installation settings.for OCP Art studio ZX Spectrum
Frustratingly I realised only a few days ago that I have been using ,"Advanced" Art Studio, not Art Studio. The "Advanced" version is basically the same software, but with some enhancmens. The Advanced version's manual does'nt mention the software will default to MX80 controls. M...

Re: Using Fonts
Thanks for your help. For my purposes the standard Roman font works very well, particularly with Tasword's out of the box 64 characters wide screen view when using A4 paper and a left margin of 8. I probably won't use the narrower CPI often as, unless I have very wide margins on A4 (as attached), I ...

Using Fonts
I have been experimenting with sending Epson font codes using Tasword on my ZX Spectrum to the RetroPrinter with it set in the default Roman font. Elite 27, 77 and Sans Serif 27, 701, 1 create a change in font as the attached pdfs. Courier 27,107,2 and Prestige 27,107,3 have no impact. Q1) I am not ...
