Retro-Printer Module Lights

For about 2-3 days last week I was able to login. Then I might not be able to get back for months. This happen with Windows 11 also. I would get to get Admin section, select add printer, then I would get this screen. Last week I would get the drop-down, asking for the username and password. Take care

That is odd.

You never said if you replaced the file:

/etc/cups/cupsd.conf

which I emailed to you a few weeks back - this overcame an issue with the CUPS interface and fixed issues with connecting to it over the browser.

You need to replace this file with the Bitvise SSH file browser. Unzip it on your PC first and then move it to the /etc/cups/ directory on the Retro-Printer module.

OK, I was able to get the new cupd.conf into /ect/cups/ by Linux "elevated" permission on the "ect" folder. Then just copy and paste the cupd.conf file. Then I was able to get into the CUPS server. I was able to print out a test page from the CUPS server. Have PUTTY version for Linux, which works with making adjustment to the Retro-Printer config files. Maybe some one will port Bitvise over to Linux.

I think the HP CUPS printer needs some adjustment, not sure what. I have attached a screenshot of the HP CUPS settings.

I still get my HP printer display window showing "Now Printing", Then after 3-5 seconds, it stops. This is with both Micrografix MW-350 Interface test print and trying to print something from the C64 / C64 Ultimate. You said the pcl, pdf and raw looked OK. I think we are getting close. Take care.

OK, after some trial and error with the CUPS printer, I managed to get the HP ENVY 5530 to print out the Micrografix MW-350 test page and was able to print out a directory from a floppy disk with the C64 Elite. Attached the latest CUPS Test printout. Thanks for being patient. Hope the heat wave isn't to bad up in your area. We in the south-east US are in the high 90's until Monday. But being from the west coast, I am use to 100-112 degrees. Take care.
